Our Philosophy

The Three Pillars

The foundation of everything we do.

Love

Self-care & Community

To operate from a place of compassion and service to others.

Move

Growth, Strength, Mobility

To continually move toward improvement in ourselves, our world, and in our work. Change is not only constant, but essential! We must change to continually improve. Even in truly complex and wickedly challenging situations, change will provide contrast and critical information that can be used to keep moving toward better.

Breathe

Intentionality & Mind-Body Connection

To take time to reflect and learn; to be mindful and intentional; to honor the mind-body connection and take care of ourselves.

Weekend Wind Down Flow

$15

The week is done. Now let it go. This Friday afternoon flow is designed to help you make a conscious, intentional transition out of work mode and into your weekend. Expect a slightly faster pace than Beginner Vinyasa with a wider variety of poses — accessible to beginners and intermediates alike, with modifications offered throughout. The energy here is a little looser, a little more playful, and the soundtrack reflects that: think jazz, pop, and electronica alongside the occasional traditional soundscape. Come as you are. Leave lighter.

Trauma-Informed Gentle Yoga (Sonrisa Foundation Partnership)

Free

Event · Tue, Oct 20 · 5:45 PM + 1 more

A gentle hatha yoga class where you are always in charge of your practice. Designed for individuals seeking accessible healing through movement and students who feel uncomfortable in a traditional yoga class setting. Using principles of trauma-informed yoga, students practice movement choices within a set sequence of shapes common to a yoga practice. The movement sequence is presented as an invitation, not instructions, and you can choose to stay in a shape or move gently in and out of it. Every class follows the same predictable arc: settling in, simple hatha yoga shapes, and quiet rest at the end. Rest however works for you: lying down, sitting up, eyes open or closed, or even still moving. No hands-on adjustments or assists are given in this class and positioning cues are given only for movement safety. This class is not a substitute for traditional therapy models for healing trauma, but can be a supportive companion to it. The Founder

Meet Kinsey

BFA, MPH · Founder of Love Move Breathe

A dancer since age 5, Kinsey earned her BFA in Dance from the University of Illinois and a Master of Public Health from UNC Chapel Hill. She first met yoga as something she "should" do — and didn't love it. It was hard, boring, and humbling. It wasn't until 2012 that she returned to the mat with kindness and self-compassion, and her practice finally bloomed.

Kinsey earned her 200-hr yoga certification in 2013. Since then, Kinsey has taught more than 400 hours of vinyasa yoga — beginner & intermediate, slow flow, warm flow, and private lessons — and completed her kids' yoga certificate with Kidding Around Yoga.

Because she didn't love yoga at first, Kinsey understands both the benefits go yoga and why students can struggle to access them. That's why she teaches through her Love Move Breathe philosophy, helping her students to discover their own practice and unlock the mindfulness and self-love benefits of yoga.
